Check out these movies coming to streaming and theaters near you during the first week of May! Communications Professional Cassandra Sproch shares a selection of films she’s most looking forward to watching: Turtles All the Way Down, The Fall Guy, The Idea of You, Unfrosted and I Saw the TV Glow.
May 2: Turtles All the Way Down. Available for streaming on MAX (formerly known as HBO Max), Turtles all the Way Down is based on the John Green novel of the same name.
May 3: The Fall Guy. Cassandra Sproch looks forward to heading to the theaters for this one! Starring Ryan Gosling, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Emily Blunt, The Fall Guy is a story that follows a stunt performer. Sproch recommends The Fall Guy to comedy fans.
The Idea of You. Available for streaming on Amazon, The Idea of You follows a single mother (Anne Hathaway) into a relationship with a pop star (Nicholas Galitzine). This Romantic Comedy (RomCom) is expected to be smart, charming and enjoyable for romance genre fans.
Unfrosted. As a huge Jerry Seinfeld fan, Cassandra Sproch can’t wait to see Unfrosted! Jerry Seinfeld makes his directorial debut for this feature film, which follows a race between Kellogg’s and Post — yes, the cereal brands!
I Saw the TV Glow. More than just the title will intrigue you with this A24 film! Cassandra Sproch looks forward to watching Jane Schoenbrun’s second feature film that follows Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine’s intriguing adventure with a late-night television show.
Wildcat. Another film worth visiting the movie theater for is Wildcat! Produced by Oscilloscope, Wildcat will debut in theaters at a cinema near you. Wildcat stars Maya Hawk of Stranger Things fame (and daughter of Ethan Hawke — the director of the film!) in a portrait of classic American literature author Flannery O’Connor.
